Balance of State HMIS Information

BoS HMIS Licenses

In May 2014, the Balance of State Steering Committee approved an updated policy for allocating HMIS licenses. The full policy is posted on the main BoS webpage

As of June 2016, the Balance of State was in the process of updating this policy again. The revised policy will be posted to the website when it is finalized.

According to the current policy in place, in order to maintain HMIS licenses, users must:

  • Log in at least once every 60 days

  • Maintain high data quality

  • Be responsive to outreach from MCAH and NCCEH

  • User or other agency representative must regularly participate (80% or better attendance) in his or her local Balance of State Regional Committee meetings

  • Enter all HUD required elements in HMIS

If your agency needs to request an HMIS license, please fill out this form.
