How Can Communities Access State of North Carolina HPRP Dollars?

Most of the funds for the statewide program will be awarded through a competitive process. Eligible applicants will be local governments and non-profits including those in entitlement communities.

The State has created a Guide for CoCs and Ten-Year Plans to use when reviewing their local HPRP applications.   CoCs and Ten-Year Plans should only provide one letter of support to one HPRP application in each geographic area.

What Plans are in Place for HPRP Dollars in North Carolina?

All entitlement communities and the State of North Carolina must submit a document to HUD that details their plan for dispersement of funding. This document, the Substantial Amendment  to the Consolidated Plan 2008 Action Plan for the Homelessness and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) were submitted to HUD by May 18, 2009.

Communities and the State held public meetings to discuss HPRP and to reveal their plan.
