Balance of State ESG Information

The ESG application cycle occurs on an annual basis. The application is administered by the State and is overseen by Kim Crawford in the DHHS Division of Aging and Adult Services.
 
The ESG application includes two parts: a community application completed by the Regional Committee and a project application completed by each agency that is seeking funding.

New ESG Grantee Webinar

NCCEH hosted a webinar for new ESG grantees on January 30, 2018. The webinar provided information on ESG overview, compliance, Coordinated Assessment, HMIS/comparable database, CAPER, and administration of spending and reimbursements. The recording for the webinar can be found here

Current ESG Application

The 2018 ESG RFA released July 20 with a submission deadline of 5:00pm on October 26, 2018.

NCCEH staff will post resources for BoS applications as they become available. The application forms and instructions will be posted on our main ESG webpage.

 Designing a Local Funding Process

In order to assist Regional Committees as they design and implement a local funding process, BoS staff have assembled some general resources about designing effective competitions. While these resources are written for foundations to use, many of the same strategies may be employed by communities to help create a local ESG funding competition.

   Regional Application Submission 

Applications in response to the RFA must be received by 5:00pm on Friday, October 26, 2018.  All applications received by this deadline will be reviewed.  Late applications will not be reviewed.

Please note that each Region (Local Planning Area) should submit the following in a 3-ring binder(s) no larger than 2 inches each, tabbed according to the checklist in the RFA:

One Regional Application
• One Project Application for each of the agencies recommended for funding
• One soft (electronic) copy on a flash drive of the complete application.
*The documents on the flash drive should be in the same order as the hard copy application
*Please be sure to write your LPA name on the flash drive

Please see the application checklists (Appendix 1 Regional Application and Appendix 3 Project Application) for a complete list of all information that must be submitted with regional and project applications.
