Grants Available from CSH's Pay for Success

The Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) invites state, county and local governments, and 501(c)3 nonprofits to join us in becoming catalysts for the creation of supportive housing through Pay for Success, an innovative contracting and financing model.

CSH is holding a national competition to select Sub-Recipients interested in receiving intensive technical assistance to determine the feasibility of Pay for Success initiatives focused on supportive housing and vulnerable populations.

CSH is a grantee of the inaugural Pay for Success program of the Corporation for National and Community Service’s Social Innovation Fund.

With over two decades of experience as the only nonprofit intermediary dedicated to advancing supportive housing, CSH is uniquely qualified and positioned to provide technical assistance on the use of Pay for Success to create supportive housing.

Selected Sub-Recipients will receive technical assistance from CSH as well as their collaborating partners, the Center for Health Care Strategies and Third Sector Capital Partners.

CSH has also developed a collaboration with the
Harvard Kennedy School Social Impact Bond Technical Assistance Lab (HKS SIB Lab) to provide a cohort-based model of technical assistance for selected Sub-Recipients interested in responding to the federal Olmstead mandate by using Pay for Success to provide a community-based housing alternative to institutionalization for persons with disabilities
. Through this cohort model, awardees will receive government-focused expertise on project development, evaluation design, and  procurement from the HKS SIB Lab and issue-specific expertise from CSH and its partners in the areas of Medicaid funding of institutional and community-based services, and the creation and operation of high-quality supportive housing that meets the needs of the identified target population.

Applications due February 6, 2015.

CSH will select 4-6 Sub-Recipients in this first round. Selected applicants will receive grants and services valued at an estimated $100,000 to $150,000. Sub-Recipients will also receive a complimentary membership to CSH’s Training center, which includes resources, webinars, and e-classes designed to support the creation of quality supportive housing.

The RFP is available on the CSH website.
