Addressing Mental Health and Homelessness in Your Community

This conference will offer a look into the local and national history of mental health and homelessness and how services and societal attitudes have evolved - both negatively and positively.
 
This conference will be beneficial to mental health and human service professionals including psychologists, social workers, counselors, members of the faith community, school personnel, law enforcement, public health providers, community groups, and others interested in improving the lives of people who are homeless.
 
Objectives include:
1. Discuss the history and current trends of homelessness and mental health in the United States and locally.
2. Describe common barriers to mental health services for people who are homeless.
3. Describe evidence-based practices for delivering mental health services to people who are homeless.
4. Discuss the involvement of consumers as colleagues.
