Homeowner Assistance Programs Workshop

This workshop may be helpful if you:
 
* Want to learn about assistance programs for purchasing a home
* Already have a home and behind on your mortgage payments
* Want information about a program for refinancing a mortgage loan
* Have lost your job at no fault of your own and cannot make your mortgage payments
* Need to find a HUD approved housing counseling agency
 
Representatives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and NC Commissioner of Banks and Kingdom CDC will explain programs available through their federal, state and local agencies to assist homeowners.
  • Individual Development Account (IDA) - savings program toward homeownership
  • Making Home Affordable - opportunities to modify or refinance your mortgage to make your monthly payments more affordable.
  • NC State Home Foreclosure Prevention Project – connects you with a HUD approved housing counseling agency
  • Home Protection Program – provides mortgage loan payments for up to 24 months while you look for a job or train for a new one
Dinner will be provided from 6:00 to 6:30.
