Promoting Wellness: An Integrated Approach to Homeless Service Delivery

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) Homelessness Resource Center (HRC), Project for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH), and SSI/SSDI Outreach Access and Recovery (SOAR) are offering a FREE two-day regional training!
 
The purpose of this training is to advance best practices and innovative strategies to resolve homelessness, based on person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approaches to care. Sessions will include topics related to housing, employment, critical time intervention, consumer integration, motivational interviewing, medical care for non-medical providers, population-focused approaches, communities of practice, self-care, and more.  Please click here to view a draft agenda.
 
This training is for anyone working in homeless services in contexts such as street outreach, drop-in centers, shelters, permanent supportive housing, criminal justice re-entry, mental health, addictions, health care, supported employment, faith-based initiatives, and schools. We welcome direct service providers, consumers, support staff, administrators, government staff, and policy makers. We extend a special invitation for PATH.

· The Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC)
