NAEH Budget Webinar

On February 2 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET, the Alliance will host a webinar on the President’s fiscal year (FY) 2011 budget.  The webinar is designed to provide an overview of the federal budget process and an analysis of the Administration’s proposed funding levels for federal low-income housing and targeted homelessness programs.

The President generally releases a budget proposal on the first Monday in February, which will be February 1 this year. The document reflects the Administration’s funding priorities for the upcoming fiscal year. It is not law, but rather meant to guide Congress as it decides on funding levels for programs throughout the federal appropriations process.

During the webinar, speakers will provide a rundown of the President’s FY 2011 budget requests, along with information on this year’s opportunities to advocate for increases to critical housing and homelessness assistance programs.  Overall budget and policy outlook will also be discussed.

Speakers from the Alliance will include Steve Berg, Vice President for Programs and Policy; Sarah Kahn, Director of Field Mobilization; Amanda Krusemark, Program and Policy Associate; and Norm Suchar, Senior Policy Analyst.

If you are interested in participating, please register for the webinar online.
