The webinar is designed to provide an overview o f the federal budget process and an analysis of the Administration’\; s proposed funding levels for federal low-income housing and targeted home lessness programs. The President generally releases a budget proposal on the first Monday in February, which will be February 1 this year. The doc ument reflects the Administration’\;s funding priorities for the upco ming fiscal year. It is not law, but rather meant to guide Congress as it decides on funding levels for programs throughout the federal appropriatio ns process. During the webinar, speakers will provide a rundown of the P resident’\;s FY 2011 budget requests, along with information on this year’\;s opportunities to advocate for increases to critical housing and homelessness assistance programs. Overall budget and policy outlook w ill also be discussed.
