Raleigh Marriott City Center

Raleigh, NC

Description

The North Carolina Community Action’s 2011 Annual Conference focuses on how to ensure positive
movement and change in the lives of low-wealth North Carolinians as they make incremental steps that guide them from dependence to independence of social programs and services. It is these incremental steps that direct and produce the movement toward a “thriving, more productive existence” – resulting in positive change.

This year’s conference will provide all levels of staff–newcomers to seasoned professionals—with the knowledge, tools, skills and motivation to help families grow and prosper. A wide array of workshops will engage participants in everything from “A to Z,” as well as networking opportunities with colleagues from across the state and nation. A Call to Action: Moving Families from Surviving to Thriving will expose participants to new tools, strategies and technologies to build upon the strengths and knowledge they already possess.
