The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and NAHRO invite you to attend the “Rental Housing Underwriting and Finance” Workshop. 
 
The training will be conducted by HOME expert Monte Franke and is FREE and open to all HOME staff, Participating Jurisdictions and State recipients. Funded through the HOME CD-TA program, the course covers basic methods of financial and non-financial rental project analysis, structuring various financing mechanisms in projects, and implications of HOME requirements for rental project finances. Participants in the course will analyze development budgets and pro-formas. The course will focus on combining HOME with other financing mechanisms such as the Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Section 108, and CDBG for rental housing development.
 
This is an advanced course that is appropriate for PJ, CHDO, or other HOME-eligible nonprofit staff who have passed the HOME Certified Specialist – Regulations exam or have at least two years of HOME rental housing experience.
