Creating a High-Performing Rural CoC, Part 1: Building Political Will
On April 15, the National Alliance to End Homelessness presented a webinar on building political will in a rural Continuum of Care (CoC). Jonathan Hardy, Director for the State Community Services Office, and Lloyd Pendleton, the Homeless Task Force Director in the Utah Division of Housing and Community Development, discussed their experiences raising awareness about homelessness in the state’s rural areas. The speakers also discussed how they help manage and build the capacity of local, rural CoCs to implement strategies to end homelessness. This webinar is the first in the Center for Capacity Building’s Critical Success Factors in High Performing Rural Continuums of Care series, based on a paper released last month by the Alliance.
