Bipartisan Policy Center Report: Housing America's Future
The Bipartisan Policy Center has released its highly anticipated report, Housing America's Future: New Directions for National Policy, offering recommendations for the future of U.S. housing policy. The report included several implications for the supportive housing industry by offering new proposals for structuring rental assistance, dramatically increasing the amount of Low Income Housing Tax Credits, and expanding and restructuring our homelessness prevention system. A theme throughout the report calls on policymakers to understand the required shift in housing policy that will be needed given forthcoming demographic shifts in the nation including the aging of the baby boomer population.
The full report, along with an executive summary and a press release, is available on the Bipartisan Policy Center's website.
